Pentacle (DanceWorks, Inc.) is a not-for-profit management support organization for the performing arts, established in 1976. Our Education & Outreach mission is to facilitate a broad understanding of both performance and nonprofit career possibilities for youth. The In-School Program instructs youth in dance while inspiring them to explore a range of careers in the arts. Art disciplines currently offered include slam poetry, theater, hip hop, Indian dance, Chinese dance, Afro-Cuban dance, and more! The Career Development programs give high school students, college students, and graduates work experience, mentorship, professional development seminars, and a peer network of colleagues.

Magic Box Productions is an award-winning nonprofit that provides exemplary media arts workshops that help students bridge the digital divide. We provide rich experiences for all ages, especially younger and beginning language learners, and are well known for our dedication to customizing each residency for the needs of participating schools. Magic Box teaching artists come into the classroom to help students create photography, video, animation, audio, and web-based projects while building critical 21st century skills. The heart of our vision is to develop visual and digital literacy from a crucial early age. Through our residencies, students gain skills in technology, problem solving and teamwork.

One of the only theaters built by dancers for dance, The Joyce Theater has garnered a well-deserved international reputation for cultivating and honoring emerging and established dance artists whose work represents a wide range of aesthetic interests. Since opening in 1982, The Joyce has supported the dance community by providing a home for more than 400 domestic and international companies. The Joyce becomes an extension of the classroom by collaborating with educators and highly qualified teaching artists dedicated to fostering an understanding of dance, dance aesthetics, and encouraging the imagination through inquiry and experiential learning.

Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana is one of America’s most prominent flamenco companies, serving more than 40,000 people each year through programs that entertain, educate, and empower. Flamenco Vivo’s educational programs, known collectively as Project Ole, offer interactive performances, in-school residencies, and professional development workshops for educators. Our Blueprint-aligned curriculum explores the multicultural roots of flamenco music and dance. Students will gain confidence, expand their range of emotional expression, and unlock their creative voice.

Together in Dance provides Creative Movement and Musical Theater residencies to NYC public school students throughout the 5 boroughs, with a particular emphasis on Pre-K through 5th graders.

Together in Dance’s mission is to, through Dance and Musical Theater, empower individuals to use their creativity and work collaboratively to connect to the world around them. Together in Dance builds community among students, families, educators, and other professionals who learn together so that the arts continue to be an integral part of their lives.

About CALL:
92Y is one of New York City’s largest community arts education providers, creating in-depth programs, performances and talks for thousands of K-12 students and their teachers each year across the boroughs—and now nationwide through our online offerings. Through sustained engagement with school communities, 92Y’s Center for Arts Learning and Leadership connects students with celebrated artists and thought leaders from around the world via in-school residencies, experiences at our historic cultural center, and internship programs for youth to explore careers in the creative industries.

  • An end-of-program sharing/performance for parents and the school community.
