Dancewave is a socially conscious nonprofit dance education organization that has been a force in Brooklyn for over 25 years. Dancewave provides access to supportive and empowering dance experiences that center social, emotional and cognitive development through movement. Developing programs to meet community needs, we use dance as a vehicle for transformation, expression, active citizenship, and self-reflection.
Our programming reaches 5,000 youth and adults annually in over 50 schools, community and senior centers in all five boroughs.
